By the Grace of G-d 10th of Cheshvan, 5724 Brooklyn, N. Y.
26 Linthorpe Rd.
London N. 16, England
Blessing and Greeting:
I duly received your letter and enclosures before Rosh Hashanah, as also the clippings, etc. I regret that, because of the intervening festivals of the month of Tishrei, my written acknowledgment was delayed.
However, your request for an encouraging letter was surely met by the general Rosh Hashanah message,1 which was addressed to everybody, Jewish men as well as women, young and old. I trust that the utmost use was made of it. My writing at this time is, of course, for the purpose of acknowledging your letter, but also to express my hope that the utmost advantage was taken of the auspicious month of Tishrei, with all its inspiring, holy and festive days. Especially, in view of the fact that the month of Tishrei is the source of inspiration and influence for the whole year.
May G-d grant that you should continue your good work in a growing measure, in accordance with the principle of the Torah that all matters of holiness should be on the ascendancy2 and, as I have emphasized before, a Divine commandment brings with it also the assurance of the ability of its fulfillment. May you do so with joy and gladness of heart, and with true Yiddish Nachas from your near and dear ones, in every respect.
With blessing,
M. Schneerson
