Greeting and Blessing:

I was pleased to receive your letter in which you write that your daughter . . . has received an offer of marriage from a suitable young man.

I trust that both your daughter and her fiancé are resolved to build their home on the foundation of the Torah and Mitzvoth. May their marriage be consummated in a happy and auspicious hour and may they, and your other children be a lasting source of true Yiddish traditional blessing.
