By the Grace of G-d 12th of Tammuz, 5721 Brooklyn, N. Y.
27, Lordship Park
London, N.16
Greeting and Blessing:
Thank you very much for your letter of the 5th of Tammuz and its predecessor.
I was very glad to read that you have been instrumental in obtaining a grant from the Central British Fund for the Lubavitch Teachers Seminary for Girls in Yerres, I also appreciate the fact that you took time out to speed the news to me. In view of the great importance of girls education nowadays in general, and my obvious interest in the said Institution in particular, you can well imagine my personal gratification to learn of the valuable aid which has been given to this Institution.
I hope and pray that the Almighty will spare you for many, many years to come, to continue your work in behalf of Kosher Jewish education, and in support of our educational institutions in particular.
As I write this letter on the Auspicious day of the 12th of Tammuz, I am especially conscious of the Mesiras Nefesh of my father-in-law of saintly memory in his singlehanded fight for the cause of Torah and Mitzvoth, and his triumph and accomplishments, despite overwhelming odds. It is a timely message for every one of us that with determination and perseverance, all obstacles can be overcome, especially where the obstacles are by no means as difficult as those which he encountered.
With the blessing of Chag Hageula,
Cordially yours,
M. Schneerson
