By the Grace of G-d 29th of Marcheshvan, 5720 Brooklyn, N. Y.
Via Giullo Uberti, 41
Milano (418)
Blessing and Greeting:
I received your letter of the 16th of Marcheshvan. No doubt you have in the meantime received my letter and Mazel Tov on the birth of your daughter, and may you and your husband bring her up to a life of Torah, Chuppah and Good Deeds.
You write that the kindergarten was established,1 regretfully, not on the desired scale. May G-d grant that it will make such progress as not only make up for the deficiency but also to exceed it.
The Zechus of the children who need to be brought up Al Taharas Hakodesh, permeated with the spirit of Chassiduth, will surely stand you in good stead to succeed in your efforts.
With regard to the question of naming the group N'Shei Chabad or otherwise, needless to say, the important thing is not the name but the inner content of the work of the group. I trust that whatever name you decide on, you will find a way to introduce into discussions of the group the topics which form the subjects of the discussion at the N'Shei Chabad meetings. Furthermore, the activities will not remain on the level of discussion, but will be translated into practice, in accordance with the teachings of our Sages that the essential thing is action,2 that is to say, that the Jewish way of life with Chassidic warmth and animation, should permeate their homes and their lives.
This year, being the 200th Anniversary of the Histalkus of the Baal Shem Tov, is especially auspicious for all activities to disseminate his fountains, particularly in the field of Jewish education. For it is well known that the Baal Shem Tov dedicated his first efforts to small Jewish children, implanting in their hearts the love of G-d and the love of all things Jewish.
Hoping to hear good news from you in all above, including also with regard to your private affairs about which you write at the conclusion of your letter,
With blessing,
By Nissan Mindel
