By the Grace of G-d21st of Shevat, 5718Brooklyn, N. Y.
Mrs. Sarah L. Simon
2202 Sunset Ave.
Asbury Park, N.J.
Blessing and Greeting:
I received your letter of February 3rd, with the enclosure, in honor of the birth of a daughter to your son Mottle and his wife. May G-d grant that you have true Yiddish Nachas from your new-born grandchild, as well as from all your children.
Your donation was turned over to our Merkos L'Inyonei Chinuch, which, as you know, is dedicated to Torah-true education, and may it stand your grandchild in good stead, to be brought up by her parents to a life of Torah, Chuppah and Good Deeds.
I want to take this opportunity to congratulate you and your children upon the worthy thing you have done for the soul of your departed husband and their father, by making it possible to publish the new edition of the "Kuntres Umaayan," with supplements, etc.1 As it will be studied by Jews all over the world, it will certainly be a source of great and lasting gratification to the soul of the late Mr. M. J. Simon, for whose Zechus this sacred book has been published. Needless to say, it also is a great Zechus for you and your children.
With prayerful wishes for your success in doing much good, and in all your affairs,
With blessing,
M. Schneerson
