I was delighted to hear from our very good friend Mr. Alexander Cowen of the birth of your son, and that tomorrow the Brith is due with Mazzel.

May the traditional benediction recited at the Brith — “as (the infant) has entered into the Covenant (of Our Father Abraham) so may he enter into Torah, Chuppah and good deeds” — be fulfilled, and the Almighty grant you both much Jewish “nachas” from him.
