In Adar 5707 (March 1947), after her escape from the Soviet Union, Rebbetzin Chana finally arrived in Paris, where she stayed with relatives. The Rebbe immediately began preparing to reunite with his mother and to assist in arranging her immigration to the United States on site. The Rebbe booked a flight from New York to France for Monday night, the 25th of Adar, scheduled to arrive in Paris the following afternoon.
